In response to the Anti-war movement, the U.S. Congress passed the Case-church amendment in June 1973 prohibiting further U.S. military intervention. In April 1975, North Vietnam Captured Saigon. Politics on Vietnam:
The Vietnam War was fought between 1945 and 1975 and basically affected the whole world. It was a fight between South Vietnam and North Vietnam the South was very west influenced and was supported by the U.S.A, France, and Britain while the North was supported by China and the soviet. Most other countries supported North Vietnam but quietly because they didn’t want to come into the wrong side with the U.S.A. The cause of this War was from the cold war when the U.S had fought the soviet. The U.S was terrified of Communism and were prepared to do anything to prevent Asia from establishing that. So this became more of a War Ideologies than war between nations. Which is why this was a War with South Vietnam, France, Britain, and the U.S.A and on the other side North Vietnam, China and the soviet and that is why it became such a big scale on casualties.
